This is the first time in a Vajrayana monastery, with the master of Hindu Dharma and Buddha Dharma, performed proper Yagya together. Not for the sake of public relation, not for the sake of fundraising, not for the sake of anything, no strings attached, purely for what it is.
On 16th March 2020, a commemoration took place on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Independence of India and the 43rd anniversary of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in Himachal Pradesh, India. Under the blessings and presence of His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and His Holiness Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami AvdheshanandGiri, a grand holy fire puja was conducted signifying a genuine sense of interreligious harmony dedicated to world peace. Shri Shanta Kumar Ji graced us with his presence as the Chief Guest of this auspicious event. The program, World Peace Yagya, which was organized by Palpung Munishasan Dharma Chakra Sangh took place at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat.
The intent of the grand sacred fire puja was to invoke blessings of the divine by making offerings, and providing contentment through generosity so that any the disturbance that manifests as disharmony in the world, environment degeneration, health and natural disasters, and so on, which cause immense suffering to all living things can be quelled and balance restored. Both Holinesses and Shri Shanta Kumar Ji addressed their messages at this holy event for the benefit of all living beings in India and in the world.
